Office Manager
Job Description
We are seeking a trust-worthy, like-minded person with gifts and skills in administration who will support the beliefs, vision, and missions of Pleasant Hill Church. Office Manager responsibilities include, but are not limited:
• Clerical duties that will help coordinate church office functions daily.
• Maintain church records, some which are confidential.
• Report information to the finance committee and any persons or financial institutions, specifically regarding State and Federal Tax liabilities.
• Greet individuals who contact the church by phone, email, or in person.
• Promote the ministries of Pleasant Hill Church by providing administrative support to its staff, committees, teams, and members.
Relationships
The Office Manager is supervised directly by the Senior Pastor; works directly with church officers, committee chairpersons, and staff; and is accountable to the Staff-Parish Relations Committee.
Qualifications

Relationships
The Office Manager is supervised directly by the Senior Pastor; works directly with church officers, committee chairpersons, and staff; and is accountable to the Staff-Parish Relations Committee.
Qualifications
• An associate’s degree in business, office management, or related field preferred.
• 2 years’ experience in related field preferred.
Skills and Gifts
• A strong and growing personal relationship with Jesus.
• A commitment to represent the Lord and His church through appropriate conduct, speech, and appearance.
• Able to welcome others warmly in person and by media.
• Able to work well with others in order to accomplish shared goals.
• Able to manage and complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Must be detail oriented, especially pertaining to the keeping of records.
• Able to maintain confidentiality amongst church staff, members, and non-members who contact the church.
• Must be competent; a fast study with publishing, accounting, management, and presentation software.
• Code purchase orders to appropriate budget line items.
• Receive and date invoices.
• Match invoices and receipts with purchase orders.
• Prepare payables for signature by church financial officers and be available to meet with the Finance Committee as necessary.
• Serve as liaison between church and outside accounting firm.
• Use church management software to track congregation’s financial transactions.
• Enter individual giving amounts in church management software.
Other Duties
• Direct community and congregational correspondence to the correct church personnel.
• Assist Senior Pastor with correspondence and scheduling.
• Oversee maintenance of church files and records.
• Monitor the conditions of office machines and arrange for maintenance and repair as needed.
• Monitor the availability of office and custodial supplies and reorder as necessary.
• Maintain regular office hours as scheduled by the Staff-Parish Relations Committee.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor or Staff-Parish Relations Committee.
Time Requirements and Benefits
• The Office Manager will work 20 hours per week, with additional time possible as needed.
• Compensation for the Office Manager will be based on experience and qualifications.
• All matters pertaining to compensation, vacation, sick leave, insurance, social security and performance evaluations will be governed by the current personnel policy documents of the church.
